With the opening of the Wailuku Garage, the program will further alleviate the parking shortage in the area, providing additional parking options for the community.

Wailuku parking updates:

Main entrance to the Wailuku Garage is located on Church Street.

Parking at the Wailuku Garage (30 N. Church St.):

  • The first floor of the Wailuku Garage is open to the public. All-day permit parking is available on the upper floors of the garage for eligible Wailuku residents and employees.
  • $1 per hour rate applies per day between 8 am and 6 pm, daily.
  • Wailuku employees can purchase an Employee Parking Permit to receive parking in the Wailuku Garage. More details on Wailuku Employee Parking Permit. Registered permit holders will be notified via email as soon as permit parking in the Wailuku Garage is available.
  • Those who reside within the residential boundary on or near Vineyard Street and Church Street in Wailuku, may purchase a Wailuku Neighborhood Parking Permit to park overnight in the Wailuku Garage from 11 pm to 5 am. More details on Wailuku Neighborhood Permit.
  • Permit Parking Zones: Established by the Maui County Council under Bill 79 (passed 9/12/2025) in Wailuku Town. View map of Wailuku Permit Parking Zones.
  • Paid Parking Zones: Approved under Bill 79, paid parking zones are located in Wailuku Town and South Maui. View maps of Wailuku and South Maui Paid Parking Zones.

Parking in the ʻIao Theater Parking Lot (70 N. Market St.):

  • Two-hour time limits at the ʻIao Theater Parking Lot.
  • Parking will remain free, and the lot will continue to be managed by Diamond Parking Services. 
  • A total of 39 stalls will be available for public use from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday (excluding Sundays and County-recognized holidays). Reserved stalls will remain restricted as posted.
